Und ein neues Selbstporträt ;-)

So, dauernd bin ich hinter der Kamera, heute hab ich mal den damenfreien Nachmittag genutzt, bißchen mit der Elinchrom Ranger quadra und den PocketWizards rumgemacht, und nun gefällt es mir auch selbst. Nix per Software nachgedreht, ausser sw konvertiert aus RAW, 2 Blitzköpfe, einer mit Beauty Dish,ein kleiner Sunbouncer und ab... geht doch. Wie immer, ist weniger mehr...;-)

Und weiter gehts am 25.05./26.05. mit Vorträgen auf der 4. MaF Convention 2013 in Saarbrücken

Referat beim 7.dforum-Festival am 29. Juni 2013 in der Schwabenlandhalle in Fellbach

Ich freue mich, auf Einladung von Dirk Wächter, wieder einen Vortrag über meine Arbeit beim 7. dforum-Festival am 29. Juni 2013 in der Schwabenlandhalle in Fellbach halten zu dürfen.

Vor zwei Jahren war ich von dem unglaublichen Interesse an meinem Referat in Oberhausen überwältigt!

photokina 09.17.12 A very special LEICA event!

A very special Leica evening at the photokina, the new LEICA M is a very fast cam, 11 dng´s in a row, heavier than the M9 cause of the new big batterie, roundabout 6200€. I´ve met a lot of friends, here a pic with Anthony Suau and David Burnett.

But I´ve also met Barbara Klemm, Steve McCurry, and a lot of good friends and of course Dr. Andreas H Kaufmann ,Alfred Schopf und Stefan Daniel von Leica. The event was moderated by a not so unknown german Talkmaster: Markus Lanz.

Here is an other photo with "long time no see" Nick Ut, last time we´ve met in the AP office in Frankfurt more than 1000 years ago, and Phan Thi Kim Phuc, she was the 9 years old girl running down Route 1 near Trang Bang, Vietnam after an aerial napalm attack on the famous photo Nick took.

 I'm looking forward to meet many colleagues and friends at the LEICA experience days on 11/18/12 at 10:40 clock in the Great Hall of the City Hall Wetzlar to my talk "The story behind the picture" with the Leica Academy .

 Ich freue mich wieder viele Kollegen und Freunde bei den LEICA Erlebnistagen am 18.11.12 um 10:40 Uhr im Grossen Saal der Stadthalle Wetzlar anl. meines Vortrags " Die Geschichte hinter den Bildern" im Rahmen der LEICA Akademie begrüßen zu dürfen.

Deutsches Eck ("German Corner") is the name of a headland in Koblenz where the Moselle joins the Rhine. In 1897, nine years after the death of the German Emperor William I, the former emperor was honoured with a giant equestrian statue bearing an inscription quoting a German poem: "Nimmer wird das Reich zerstöret, wenn ihr einig seid und treu" (Never will the Empire be destroyed, so long as you are united and loyal). Another inscription could be found at the statue dedicating it to “Wilhelm der Große” (William the Great).

In 1945, the statue was badly damaged by an American artillery shell. Soon afterwards it was completely taken down. The French military government planned to replace the old memorial with a monument for peace and understanding among nations, but this concept was never realized.

After the formation of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic in 1949, the country was divided into a capitalist west and a communist east. In order to express the deep wish for a united Germany[citation needed], President Theodor Heuss turned the German Corner into a monument to German unity. As a result, the coats of arms of all German Länder (states), including those of former German territories such as Silesia, East Prussia and Pomerania, were installed. Replacing the destroyed equestrian statue, a German flag flew over the plaza.

After the Berlin Wall came down in November 1989, three concrete parts of the actual wall were installed next to the monument. On 3 October 1990, the emblems of the new federal states were added.
